In case of India, I feel Gandhiji was not merely looking for freedom from the British but offered tools of Satyagraha to bring about a transformation in society which will eventually bring true freedom.

hi, geeta! i was familiar with some of what you tell here from the great movie gandhi (at the top of my list for epic films) . i did not know about the name switch however, from sada to satya-graha. also, i was not familiar with the term maganlal which you applied to gandhi. what does that mean? thank you for another learning experience. glen
