A great and vivid depiction of a dissolution of marriage and its effects on both parties and children. Deeply touching, poignant and meaningful write.
Heart touching poem! A sad portrait of a genial good soul. Poet interlaces passion with reasoning. Free verse contributes to the theme of the poem.
Thank you Leela Kumari. We often see love ending in marriage and after a short period divorce too.In my opinion it was not a sincere love but an apology to it, a hypocrisy
A man and woman fall in love, marry and start living a romantic married life. The whole word look at them with envy and tend to say made for each other'.But when life goes on and hard realities are faced either of them is dissatisfied, breaks the shackles of marriage bond and goes away. The other is destined to live a life of sorrow and disappointment. From time immemorial poets draw this picture and DPN also does it. But Still presented differently and the poet deserves credit.
Thank you Ramadas. People are least bothered for respecting other's feelingsirrespective of the bondage or commitments
The poem portrays the society's steady inclination towards divorces. Even if the couples have exchanged great vows before the wedding, these will be destroyed when they begin their real lives..it is the harsh reality of life.
Thank you Devi. We should be committed to our vows
Thank you Prabha. We are supposed to have been committed to our vows
The poem gives us a clear picture of the value of relationships and why wife and husband relation should be nurtured properly. Since its not only affects them but also the small beautiful mind which is destined for heights. A CLASSIC ONE...THUMBS UP
The union of a man and woman has the purpose of rearing another generation and the upkeep of it. A healthy relation only can accomplish it
Let not the hearts of your kids be divided like earthly possessions Let not high walls be built in their minds for you to hide behind......let it be so. A beautiful poem with nice theme has been astutely delineated. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Kumaramaniji. I have been painfully watching people divorcing with the attitude of changing clothes without having the least consideration of the innocent children. Poor things, they are denied everything in life. Pathetic.
The closure lines are great advice that must be put to mind and heart. A well expressed poem.
