The Mỹ Lai Massacre
Of Nineteen Sixty Eight.
Followed by a deluge
Of scathing evidences
Fresh revelations and
Authentic testimonies,
International community
Wanted the U.S. to act.
Bowing under the pressure
the Nixon-Kissinger axis
finally conducted investigation
and court-martialled
twenty six service personnel,
but convicted only one
Lieutenant William Calley Jr.,
a platoon leader in C Company,
sentenced for life in prison.
Nixon ordered his release
after just three and a half years.
Justice undone,
whitewash completed.
