Lyn! How are you now, Lyn?
Wonder which world you tread now!
What your fleeting mind keeps thinking,
Who your blurred eyes keep searching,

sometimes, on PH, i think my mind must be getting ' 'numb'! ! ! ! i see i commented extensively earlier this year, yet i don't recall the poem, nor commenting. oh well! i DO remember my name, though i often type it brain instead of brian on my 'first attempt'! ! (cont.)
(cont.) ...but, hey, maybe she WAS very GUILTY. i wonder what her condition is now. it is an extremely well done and captivating story. to MyPoemList. bri ;) p.s. why were you with the doctor that day, i wonder. hmm? the poem title 'pulled at me', partly because one of your commenters, Lyn Paul, is a PH friend and i wondered............
Her present condition is unknown to me, but two years after I had written this poem, I inquired about her from my doctor friend who told me that her condition deteriorated. I think, her situation is really grim, if not she has passed away in the mean time. Thanks for taking this poem to your MyPoem list. At that time I was visiting a friend of mine in the US. Our friend Lyn Paul lives in Australia. So no worries, but our compassion remains for the patient Lyn, whose recovery I pray for.
(cont.) .. i DO regret reading the last line of the Poet's Notes, as it makes it sound as though Lyn's medical problems stem from some sin(?) she has committed, some wrongdoing or 'mistake' in her life. i think that idea absurd, unless doctors felt that she knowingly led a lifestyle e.g. diet which contributed to the clot. (continued) ..
'as it makes it sound as though...' - probably so, but I didn't mean so. Thanks for pointing out this lacuna.
(continued) .. the only thing i disliked while reading the poem and/or commenting was that the page would change to 'the next' poem, Marriage And Love; i've noticed this happens on some other poem pages of other poets. i suspect you will have credit in your PH Stats for 'me' reading the next poem, which i didn't...yet, and may not. (continued) .. [i woke up in 'the middle of the night' and decided to see who was online on PH]
This happens to me as well and this is very disgusting. To get rid of this menace, you need to use the pause or stop button of the recitation audio clip.
(cont.) as for the poem and Poet's Notes: thanks for both. several times i reread a stanza or scanned it to see the rhymes, as i got the feeling while reading that there WERE rhymes, but......there weren't! it just was such a smooth 'read' for me, everything flowing nicely from line to line and stanza to stanza. was there puncuation? yes indeed, and done so well, unlike some other, otherwise, good/very good poems on PH. (continued) ..
Thanks for the appreciation. Like you, I too am careful about grammar, particularly punctuation. I notice use of punctuation when I read a poem. Glad that you liked the Poet's Notes too.
I do not (any longer) believe in God/any god. BUT, strangely perhaps, i do believe that anything IS possible. there may indeed be a God, whether of the Christian sort or any other sort. yes, anything can happen as far as i know, despite the naysayers, the scientists, and the so-called-'religious' ones who persecute others, sometimes 'in the name of religion'. @Lyn, Thanks for reading my poem and sharing your inspirational thoughts.
It is such a sad poem but very inspirational in some ways. One never knows what is around the corner. It's ironic how she who cared for people is now being cared for. I hope she is being taken good care of and only has the best in life for her to continue living with dignity. Thank you for writing and sharing. Live for today and make the most of it. Cheers.
@ Mary Forrester, The story is indeed sad. I am glad you've liked the poem.
Beautiful words written for an Angel. Love Hazel's message to. Thank you
@Luna Tsuki, Thank you very much for your kind words and prayers.
an amazing way to tell a story, May God make it easier for all the Lyns out there.
@ Sj Holland, My heartfelt thanks for sharing your beautiful thoughts: It's sad when we age or become sick and can't care for ourselves like we'd like. We feel embarrassed. .....That stanza is my favorite too.
@ Hazel Evelyn Durham, Thanks for your comment and your prayers.
(cont.) somehow your name is not on my list of PH friends! ! or are my eyes failing as well as my brian, ...i mean brain? ? ! i've tried to put you back into list, but PH is giving me trouble, & NOT JUST in this way! ! ; ( but...it IS free. bri :)
I have added your name to 'My Friends' list.
