I look northwards behold a star shine alone
A sun has come over to please me; frank!
Talking to it in heart i express my thanks…

Imagination at its poetic best Kesav....you make a simple poem on a dream take the reader far away.......

very well written.. your poem can tell in very few words what can't be conveyed in hundreds of words by others and that's poetical triumph.

A period between slumber and aware Not emphasising on reality and fantasy One is sure to go for Northern Sun and Moon. Such is a dream, so lovely, one can really beam Who can stop you dear poet, go into that trance and be calm Northern Sun will dance surely on your palm. Impossible is made possible in dream... Then... why not to take a shot? Lovely read, dear poet.

'Can anyone ever pick out a northerly sun? ' is what I implied there meaning never. Your suggestion is okay with me. Well, if the implication lacks clarity, I am changing the accent there from interrogative to affirmative. Thanks for your suggestion, Ronald Kesav Easwaran

I like poems about dreams. The dream with a star is very important. it speaks of the realms of the spirit. One line gave me a bit of trouble. Pick out a northerly sun, ever one can? do you mean to say (everyone can?) or (if ever one can?) but it might be better said (if anyone can?) It just a bit unclear what you are attempting to say right there in that phrase. a poet friend RH Peat

lying on your back and watching the night sky, you travel in a world of magic, transcend the humdrum of daily existence and gain insight through inner reflections and self realization. nothing teaches like nature, as you have expressed in this poem with a touch of humour. human follies and foilbles... 10 Mamta

Very descriptive Kesav as you lie on your back and look at the sky. I also enjoyed the humor and hope you had wonderful dreams that night. 10 love Karin

Listen to the lonely stars, they have learnt wisdom by meditations in secluded spheres. Very beautiful poem! 10 even if you don't care!

Bring back to memory the enchanting sky that opens the doors of imagination. A meanigful chat with northern star and a promise... Star of night is right that you need to relax and sleep till the star of the day comes and proclaims, a deep write, wrapped in ordinary words! Thanks!
