Flanked by the Arabian Sea on the West
With its easterly shore of stretching sandy swell
That lulls the restless waves to sleep

A magnificent verse, Valsa. the most genuine love of home and homeland is one that wishes to communicate the essence of that home to others, to all.
A very good poem on the homeland describing the unity in diversity that prevails in the land, especially the unity among the Hindus, Christians and the Muslims with a simple mention of temples, churches and mosques. Thank you Valsa George....10

Susan, so happy for your uplifting comment! Also thanks for your high rating......!
A very well written ode regalling your country's charm and attaractions. You paint images vividly with your words. One can almost hear the sounds of the country, the light of your sun.
Thanks a lot Chito Faustino for your lovely comment! When it comes to one's own land, it is natural for everyone to wax eloquent!
valsa, i want to go there! this brings to mind an early chapter in the novel the life of pi which i think is set in kerala, a charming chapter where the narrator in the first person relates his encounters with the different religious traditions there. this poem bursts with your love of the place, has the feel of inspired utterance. pleasant to read—thank you. -glen
That novel is set in India, but not exactly in Kerala. Pi happened to be born in Pondicherry... a Union Territory close to Kerala. Pi was very religious and used to visit temples! Yes, Life of Pi was once in the English syllabus of the undergraduates in Kerala! Yes, Kerala is a beautiful place known as God's Own Country! Thank you Glen for your lovely comment!
Full of joyous, gracious, rhythmic poem as if I'm wandering on every line of poetic tranquilized expression /// great poem, love it
Hills and shores, sea and sky, music and dance mixed together in Lulling Symphony depict a live picture of our vast culture. The panoramic view is really lovely. The healing murmurs and throbbing notes uplift the mind to a higher level. I enjoyed the symphony.
Yes, I was trying to incorporate in the poem all the diverse elements peculiar to our land! Thank you Bisy for your lovely comment!
In the serene dawns and dusky evenings The atmosphere gets abuzz with the soft strains Of ‘Sopana Sangeetham', the ethnic music of Kerala, It comes floating from inside the Hindu shrines Flooding soul's enchanted shores, And opening the floodgates of piety- - An exquisitely beautiful poem about Kerala, your native state, its rich natural beauty as well as spirituality and music.
Thank you Bharati for your beautiful comment! Yes, we are proud of Kerala's rich culture and spirituality!

Thanks a lot Kumaramani sir! Your way of looking at it may be different from how others see it! Until I got your comment, I haven't thought it is a great poem! However I am so happy about your observations and thank you once again for those great words!
You will be glad to know that there are many researchers/ scholars of various universities of the world from various fields are referring to the biographies of poets and poems published here in Poem Hunter for educational and investigation of studies. Sometimes they feel trouble in understanding the real theme of poem. I have started such review after I have received many requests from such researchers. Even these review comments are important for them.
Poems are many and poets are many and time is short. Always we do not get time for such deeper review although we have patience. But still I assure that rarely at any moment I may pick up any rarest of rare poem of yours to do such line by line analytic comprehensive review.
As per my view where all structures are available and this covers all fields such a poem is rarest of rare and I feel that this poem is truly rarest of rare poems and I consider this is very special poem.
I have picked up this poem for review because I have found that this poem is rarest of rare poems and this has special structure and special beneficial theme. In this one poem we have found natural beauty, social uniformity, religious and devotional beliefs, tradition, culture, economy, tourism, spirituality, dedication towards God, secular essence, universality, integrity, love and peace and music and dance.
Doing line by line analysis is quiet difficult and it requires more time and patience to review. Still I rarely do line by line comprehensive review picking up few poems randomly. I have loved this poem and picked up this out of thousands of poems of others and hundreds of poems of yours. In such review comments rises more than 20 to 100 or above 100 depending upon the structure and theme of the selected poem.
I am glad that you have read all the analytic review comments. I am also glad hearing that there are guests in your home. Please take care of guests and family members. Spending time with guests will also nourish the poetic mind and I hope you will write your next poem on guests.
I have read this poem giving my time completely and done the assessment. As per my opinion this poem is an outstanding poem. The poetess has mystically and magically presented this in philosophical way. This poem has deeper greatness. No one can deny this. This has patriotism also. I thank poetess for this greatest gift which is treasured with us and time as a real gem. Her effort is highly appreciated. A comprehensive review is done today.
Kumaramani Sir I feel dazed and awestruck by this wonderful analysis of my poem. Let me thank you from the bottom of my heart for this excellent and impressive line by line analysis of my poem. I feel so much honoured by this string of comments
Every heart finds the divine joy and beats with tender perception. A great moment of spirituality is felt by all here and all adore God.
Being a busy house wife, I have minimum time at my disposal to spend on poem hunter. More over I don’t have the patience or largesse of heart to make such a detailed critique of any poem. Sorry I will be able to turn to your poems or any other poem only after a couple of days as I have some guests at home. Thanks once again!
Light rain falling in very fine drops from heaven as grace makes them more wet in devotion and these dew drops motivate them with greater hope and inner beauty.
Devotees wet thoroughly having bath in sea and having bath in divine nectar and devotion. A sweetness of Divine moisture is waved through tender wind.
Beautiful poem on your country
