Lullaby Of Tears Poem by Elizabeth Jacqueline Mpanga

Lullaby Of Tears

Cry, my darling, it's all right,
cry in the morning, cry in the night.
Cry when you're happy, cry when you're blue,
cry when the world feels heavy on you.

Cry when you're lonely, cry when you're near,
cry for the ones you hold most dear.
Cry when a life begins, cry when one ends,
cry with your family, cry with your friends.

Cry with the sunrise, cry with the rain,
cry when you're healing, cry through the pain.
Cry when you're laughing, tears of delight,
cry, little one, it will all be all right.

For tears are rivers the soul lets flow,
watering seeds of strength we'll grow.
I cry, you cry, together we try,
to turn every teardrop into a lullaby.

So hush, my love, let the night draw near,
cry if you must, I'll always be here.
For in every teardrop, in every sigh,
lives a gentle love that will never die.
