Okay, I will make it easier for those who are having trouble. The hidden creatures are all fish, and the very first one is 'perch'..
Cute poem and fun puzzle, Kim! I identified the type of creature and found 10 for sure, maybe all 13. I'll have to check my dictionary.
I like the poem though some parts are....hmm? .....mysteries to me. Tubas? Rhyming is fine. I shall not do any searching. bri ;)

Tubas is there because it is hiding one of the fish. The word 'bass' is found in 'tubas stacked...'
I have identified the type of creature, but have not yet found all 13. Great puzzle poem and nice story. Thanks for posting.
I will look for the creatures later, but meanwhile, the poem and story are fun and full of nice rhymes. Five stars!
