Love's Measure Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

Love's Measure

What is the measure for love to last
Making heart tremble and soul rejoice
Banishing loneliness, despair and misery
Navigating steps brightly into the future?
Could it be the new born babe's first breath?
Lover's kiss, passions fulfilled, being ever joyful
Mother lovingly comforting weeping child
Parents providing comfort, food and shelter
Helping hand and support from friends
Encouragement, overcoming grey depression
Casting light into darkness showing the way
Soul lost to God joyfully found and restored?
Promises made and kept with compassion enhanced
Truth boldly told without fearing the cost.
