Loves Legacy... A Tribute To Rab Bond Poem by Mervyn Graham

In the realm of roaring engines and greens so vast,
A love story bloomed, destined to last.
Rab, with his motorbikes, once held sway,
But love's winds led him to a different way.

Golf courses witnessed his graceful swing,
Yet it was in dog shows, their hearts took wing.
With Shoshan Cockers, their love found its beat,
And Aristocats arose, a dream complete.

Through catteries and feline grace,
They shared their love, in every place.
Persian purrs and champions bred,
In each success, their love was spread.

A joiner by trade, his hands so skilled,
With pride in his work, his dreams fulfilled.
From the sawdust floors to contracts high,
He soared with Hogg the Builder, reaching the sky.

But amidst the world's grandeur, his heart found a home,
In the warmth of Nan's love, he ceased to roam.
For he found in her, a love so rare,
A Bond unbroken, beyond compare.

In a home where love was the reigning art,
Rab stood tall, with his gentle heart.
His kids, Tina and Matt, his pride and joy,
Their laughter, their dreams, his daily buoy.

Their partners welcomed with open arms,
Bound by love's ties, away from harm.
As extended family, they found their place,
In Rab's warm embrace, a sacred space.

But the true treasures of Rab's life's chart,
Were his grandkids, each Papa's precious gift.
With loving arms, he held them near,
Their smiles and laughter, he held so dear.

In Rab's world, love was the cornerstone,
A legacy woven, so brightly shown.
For in his embrace, his family found,
A love that forever would astound.

So let the memories linger, never depart,
Of Rab, who loved Nan with all his heart.
In Tina, Matt, their partners, and grandkids too,
His love lives on, forever true.

In Nan's embrace, Rab found his light,
Her love, a beacon, shining bright.
Through trials and triumphs, side by side,
Their love endured, a timeless tide.

He cherished their Bond, as precious as gold,
And in his final days, his love he told.
Concerned not for himself, but for Nan,
His love's depth, for all to see.

And as he journeyed to the realm unseen,
Surrounded by love, in a circle serene.
With tall figures by his side, he stood,
His love for them, an eternal flood.

In the silence of St. Andrews Cottage's hush,
His ghostly presence, a gentle brush.
By Nan's bedside, in whispers of light,
His love still shone, through the darkest night.

A patient's gaze, across from Nan's,
Caught his essence, a sign divine.
And the nurse, with senses so keen,
Felt his presence, in the cigarette's sheen.

Though his earthly form may have departed,
Their love, undying, will never be thwarted.
For in three kisses to his picture, night and day anew,
His love whispers back, forever true.

So let the winds carry our love's refrain,
Through realms of memory, where love shall reign.
For in the echo of their love's sweet chime,
Rab's spirit lives on, throughout all time.
