Lover’s Wish Poem by Diwakar Bhatt

Lover’s Wish

O! God! In the name of love, I beg of you,
Neither riches, nor longevity but favors few.

Turn me into dew drops fresh and pure,
Lave I will her bare feet with utmost care.

Make me the gentle summer breeze I pray,
Caress I will her rosy cheeks in a fond play.

In the realm of sun I would like to transcend,
Bask she will under the balmy rays to unwind.

Dissolve me in the water of her exquisite pool,
Rejuvenate I will her spirits with calm and cool.

Assimilate me into the aroma of Jasmine,
Tingle I will her senses soft and feminine.

Come the dusk, put me into the halo and haze,
Sooth I will her tired body with luxurious laze.

Fell upon the dark, moonshine wouldn’t be wish last,
Heave I will the tide of love in the ocean of her heart.

Finally, while in her deep slumber, in the lull of night,
Resurrect me into sweet dreams to bring her delight.
