Love Your Enemies Poem by soren Barrett

Love Your Enemies

Rating: 5.0

I love the dog that bit me, it was not his fault
I forgave a man that hit me, all he knew was assault
I cared for a woman that left me, she was afraid
I miss my child from long ago, stolen in a friendship raid
I long for golden days, robbed by the hands of time
To each thief I leave a loving present, in return for their crime
Some say I'm meek, the rest say weak for what I do and say
But I can sleep, as others in anger weep at the end of day

A pragmatic and meaningful way in dealing with enemies. The closure line says it all.
