They are majestic, And their fate has been meshed with ours for eons. Whether they pulled war chariots or ploughs they were essential. The language of your poem does justice to them. You don't relate cute things about horses performing tricks for audiences. Your horses are stretching their sinews. For freedom in one memorable part of your poem. The only horses I knew in the past were work hiorses who were docile and exhausted from over-work, But Felipe is the horse you poem brkings to life, and his is a proud, free nature, ther ideal image of the horse.
Hello, dear Daniel! Thank you for your comment! I couldn't agree more with you and, indeed, horses' fate has been entwined with that of humans, and I truly wish these lovely creatures had never been forced to participate in any of the hundreds of wars mankind was led to! These noble and beautiful creatures should always be free, and never tied down either for war, for work or for any audience who enjoys seeing them performing tricks. Felipe is thankfully a lucky, majestic Friesian horse, to whom I just can't stop bringing treats! ! Thank you so much for your comment! !
I used to live in an apartment complex which was adjacent ti a huge farm fields with gently rolling hills and lush lawns, because the farm has shut down and the space was for grazing, prancing, running-free horses urban people owned. For four years I saw those horses everyday ans many of the horses saw more of me than their owners! I was always respectful of their wildness and freedom. The thought of riding one never crossed my mind: I worshiped them as masters of the earth. And I could fully embrace the Myth of the Centaur when I talked to one in English and he or she nudged me with their massive head and one great eye stared completely through my body. Your poem has restored these memories of so long go. The horses are gone, the fields destroyed, a huge freeway has replaced the Freedom of Horses. Bless you for your poem: you restored all of this lost grandeur in my mind.
Hello, dear Daniel! Thank you for sharing your beautiful memories with me, and I truly thank you for completely understanding my feelings for these majestic creatures! Aloha Anastasia... If I may... a good composition and being able to develop it is a blessing and a most trying effort... There are not too many 'naturals' placing their words about in these forums... and IAM so appreciative that you have made both the effort and the decision to do so... I humbly thank you for your fine mind, appreciation of the 'craft', and for your trust in my thoughts... All of the best from this life, to you, and all of your relations... Michaelw1two

Daring and boundless is their soul No rope, no reins can hold them still They do only as they will Seek not for trophy but earn their trust They'll never love a heart unjust Open your soul, never use force I was seeing a parallel in this poem to human relationship also. A poem which makes us think a lot. Thank you dear poetess. tony

I would prefer to comment your poem in greek, had I been sure you speak and understand it as english your poem proves to.Anyway, It is a very very good poem, a real poem. You seem to have a great talent. It is the first poem of yours I read.I have not looked up to see who you are, studies, age etc.I was astonished by the first reading. It was an apocalyps to me.I thought I'm in front of a real poet.Confratulations.I'll look up to see if you have published other poems too.I'll read all of them.
