With no repentance, doubt or answer sought,
Her selfless spirit gives ‘til all be gone,
Then waits beyond the hour when all is wrought,
And others to themselves have long withdrawn.
No qualm is raised from uttered words and vows
Accepted from the giver as professed;
With poise and courage, ever she endows,
And though deceived, continues unsuppressed.
Expectant of the newness of the day;
Anticipating all good things to come—
And when misfortune falls along the way,
Begins again, for she will not succumb.
Steadfast! as are the golden stars above,
And past the stars, the universe untried
Unfolds to bear the constancy thereof—
Love's force unbound that will not be denied.
