I've walked by a few during my trips to NYC, although it's been a few years and I was young. I always felt sorry for them, wondering what their story was. I remember a young man playing a guitar and singing for change near the PATH train in the World Trade Center two weeks before 9/11. As I watched the towers fall on TV, over and over again, I wondered what had happened to him. I will remember your poem when I next return to NYC or any similar city. And I liked the last few lines, to receive a second chance is a great blessing. Darla :)

Unique in scope and dimension, adds layers of meaning and variation to the traditional love thy neighbour theme. Absolutely deserved a 10+.
