hehehe.. the magic of poetry my dear Adam- it can make us think. And our interpretation can be based on past experiences or based from what we understand.. This poem can also be interpreted as for example 'a person whom he/she has never seen for a very long time and could not believe that the person is right in front of them-kind-of-poetry' or it could be what you are thinking (which honestly I couldn't figure out and I hope that you would share so that I would know) .
