Love, The Burster Of Bonds Poem by james watkin

Love, The Burster Of Bonds

Back-tracking over where he
Time, itself had stepped
Is to re-trace, virtually
Anguish for anguish
What long and bores, for telling
For a tale of woe.
Humanity's; foot and heart-swelling;
Did through darks languish.

Onward, led of Love's impulse
Is upward to soar!
In effect, dear, to repulse
And repudiate
What had, for a slave-drove plight
Beckoned, dispirits.
Timeless; starry-eyed. In sight
Of angels' shared gait!
