A work of active imagination, well articulated and nicely encapsulated with a tinge of humour. Lovely poem. Thanks for sharing Poetess.

Chinedu, I'd be hard-pressed to choose which makes for better poetry- - an active imagination, or real-life inspiration. I suppose that both have their place. I had fun writing this one! :)

A very FUNNY poem about love on Mars! It made most everyone laugh. The pictures that I get in my mind when I read my poem are of creatures similar to Marvin the Martian of Looney Toons (Bugs Bunny) fame, or perhaps like Disney's Wall-E, from the film.

'Love at first blip'-a fine variation on 'love at first sight'. I believe there is such a thing as love at first sight, and I found your poem very humorous too. Michael.

Thank-you, Michael! Did you ever hear of an old television show called My favourite Martian? Perhaps there are old reruns of it on youtube. Take care, now.

Thank-you, Tom! (It may not be as illusive as we think, if it even shows up on other planets!) :)

Thank you, Barry. I can always count on you- - to the moon and back! Whereas I like to leave things to the readers' imaginations, I notice that you frequently post pictures with your poems. Should I have added a pic of Marvin the Martian from the old Bugs Bunny cartoons? hahaha!
