O! My lady I lost you in the crowd common,
Loneliness hovers upon like a deadly demon.
Talisman of your love keeps me unharmed,
Quiet and calm I live as if forever charmed.
Still the sweet pain I undertake to endure,
In the name of your love, unable to procure.
My heart carries the wounds always green,
Soul too shed tears wetting my being unseen.
Where do I find you without a clue or a lead,
Only the book of your memories I can read.
At times I turn the pages of that book colorful,
I simply plunge in the sea of past so mirthful.
I still remember the smiling face so pure,
Imprinted on my heart indelibly and secure.
You loved me but never could you versify,
Your heart throbbed but could not testify.
Ascetic I have become to a greater extent,
But the rosary repeats your name in all intent.
Some day we will meet I am sure upon my intuition,
In the dusk of life it will be love's restitution.
