Love Left Behind Poem by Timber Koleden

Love Left Behind

Rating: 5.0

When all grows so fearfully still;
And the sunlight is dark and chill;
All senses dim and fade in disarray:
In the end I must go away.

The shadows of night fall upon me;
I can no longer move, no longer see.
May I leave something of worth behind;
Something, a mem'ry in your mind.

That my love for you remains;
Though you will ne'er see me again.
Ev'ry morning and every night:
May my love for you be a light.

A great promise of eternal love powerfully expressed. Nice rhyme as always.
