Love Is Like A Candle

Love is like a candle
Glowing in the night
Shining forth a pathway
To lead us by its light
We find a warmth within it
A special drawing power
A magnetizing presence
Soothing us each hour

Love has no deficiencies
Its pure as pure can be
Of all the traits found within man
Love has supremacy
But our love is insufficient
To love the best we can
We must be filled with the love of God
To love our fellow men

And so the Light of the world is love
The love of God in Christ
Who so loved this very world
He became sins sacrifice
And offered up love's finest example
His utmost definition of love
If a man lay down his life for another
He has the acceptance of God

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
