So, he gathers enough courage to asks her out on a date only to discover that; SHE SEES HIM JUST AS FRIEND AND NOTHING MORE THAN THAT! .. infatuation, attraction, imagination, desire. all that usually come up in a love, you have described in simple language. thank you very much dear poet for this poem. tony
Because of how detailed this story is played out and how abrupt the conclusion was, I felt as if this story was told by the man.
she seems to entice him with mixed signals but sees him as only a friend nice imagery but somewhat sad
