Love Fades Poem by Julius Saidu

Love Fades

Rating: 4.8

Flowers slowly fade,
The sun slowly goes down
Darkness kills the light slowly……..so it is
Her love for me fades slowly,
gently like a breeze in the mornings that bade farewell
And give way to the hot sun
It's a mystery
This pain is great
I can't live with it
I was a diamond in her life once
Now am a mere stone
Now my smiles means nothing,
And my heart keeps beating….till when?
Her heart has learned not to love me anymore
But I still care,
The wind has witnessed our promises
What will it blow to now?
What will the young lads grow to hear?
Broken love?
I should have learnt
Now my heart tears each day, for it was tricked by love
These tears now disagree our happy memories
Only those who were there will tell our story
For i doubt our story
The fading of this love is like a dream
Which I wish it to be.
