We all aspire to see these qualities retained in life and we aim to foster them, but they are often volatile and slip off our grip! A senryu packed with meaning!

Absolutely, Valsa. How evasive and elusive those qualities are that we work and strive to make permanent. Thank you so much, Valsa.

i re read this again and then read what you have responded to my dear friend, Susan... Yeah it is surprising that sometimes people behave like that, once they got that then they not love it anymore but hatred. Maybe at the first is not much love, but to possess as you said, certainty security... i think love is about appreciating what we have and how meaningful to have someone/something personally. Love is not a wild desire but a complement of needs on life... :)

Thank you so much, Soul. Yes indeed, it is always amazing how feelings and emotions can be twisted. Perhaps that's maybe because every one has the seeds of so many possibilities.

moving targets- - -a well-chosen image for this senyru. Makes me think of those skeet contests... I kept yelling Pull at the end of the lines, actually after each of the first 4 words. But success in skeet is through blowing the target to smithereens and I think that was not where you were going with this. By the way I love the philosophical bent to most of your poems- it is good to give your readers a mental workout cuz, speaking for myself, my brain turns to sludge with the slightest encouragement [or would that be the slightest lack of encouragement? ] Thank you, Mj. for being a poet with a probing mind

Susan, thank you so much! And now you have me thinking! That is always appreciated. I have heard people say they love someone or some thing that now they hate that person or object? Love so much it turns to hate? Perhaps emotions and love do get blown up? Maybe what you say about skeet shooting makes perfect sense as an interpretation of this senryu. Thanks again, Susan.

Thank you, Muhammad. I sometimes find the meaning moving, running between the words and lines. Thanks again.

Good manners certainly gives an edge to a successful union..minus moving targets. Who knows what life may dish up in the form of obstacles. This one had me thinking for a while with the topics especially melancholy.

Thank you so much, Simone. I am placed in a different mood depending on that first word....sometimes I take it to be a verb.
