We all love woods hence we want wooden furniture, there are two kinds of love in this world one which we achieve by sacrifices and another by demand and command...You nailed it with this poem....By cementing forests we can contribute to global de warming to some extent.
I understand this poem as a protest against cutting the forests and extending the boarders of a town. Mother earth needs love and cover of the forests. A great message.
