Love Builds A Wall Poem by Chris Embrick

Love Builds A Wall

The wall of friendship
fellowship
always begins with
the cornerstone
To endure life's storms
you cannot build it alone
You need the love of others
with the love of your own
and add the mortar
to each stone
Only then will it be strong enough
to keep out
bigotry
prejudice
hatred
jealously
pride
and make a place
where love abides
When each stone is carefully placed
Genuine love
never goes to waste
It will protect you
time and time again
when you've built a wall
around yourself with friends.

Really the wall of friendship begins with the foundation stone to endure life's storms like bigotry, prejudice, hatred, jealousy and pride etc. where love is the mortar. Well imaginative poem with nice penmanship shared.10
