Love As A Duty Poem by welkin siskin

Love As A Duty

There is nothing such as love
as a duty
That a great soul strives to fulfill.
Better off what could be
To give in life, to make a deal.
Does the heart flatter and the wings soar
To a climax of extreme joy if love be a door
To enter the zone of happiness.
For what's hate, what's avarice and ego
Could in love find no place
Love is the most essential of life thus.
