Love Poem by Sarah Whiley

Love

Rating: 5.0

My entire life I've spent running around trying to find someone who could handle my heart
Almost like clockwork, I find people who can't and then our friendships gets torn apart
In a way, I fear that with you, as we've known each other for such a small amount of time
I fear that what we have made together is subject to crumble if I take your hand in mine
But then I look into myself and realise that not every person is born with an Achilles heel
Maybe its possible that we can freely express the way that we feel
Maybe you are the person that I've been searching for throughout my lonesome life.
Maybe, just maybe I'd be able to call you my wife: p

There are many things about me that you do not know,
And then many things more than you will not see
Nightmares that lie in wait, lined up row in row,
Clawing at my body, waiting for a chance to kill me
I am a difficult person to love, on pure basis of my plights,
Push comes to shove, stranded at sea on stormy nights
I am lost
I am broken
Fractured in places unseen by light
This is the cost
Of words unspoken
Falling in love with you in the middle of the night

I think that I love you? Although it's a strange topic to think about
We've known each other for such a small amount of time that's hard to let my feelings spout
If nothing else, I care about you as if you were a brother,
You don't want children but I bet you'd make an amazing mother: 3
If nothing else, I want you to know,
There is no end to the lengths I'd go,
If it meant being at your side,
As unstoppable as the shifting tide
My love for you shines bright
I wish I could hold you on these stormy nights

Love is confusing in the best of times, least of all now. The sweetest girl I know, in the end this really was just a really long lly: p
