Loving friends are a grat boon for one sure in this world of uncertainty ever! Nice poem!
But....my 'best friend', since the 1970s, Karl, died two years ago after 50 years of now-and-again visits and phone calls. NOW what do I do? Read novels I guess, and eat ice cream. That 'beats' mourning! : )
