Lost Youth Poem by Toby Twigg

Lost Youth

Rating: 4.5

When was the last time a paper-kite
Found you at the end of a ball of string?

How long has it been since a Mulberry Tree
Held you safely in its arms and fed you
The sweetness of Love?

What keeps you from riding the winds of youth
And conversations with a face in the clouds?

Ahhh ___You lost your childhood imagination
and the taste for Dreamsicles.

I know, I know.

Me too.
