Lost Soul Poem by For Shak

Lost Soul

Rating: 5.0

Those days have gone
When it was sunshine and bright
I dress up and go out searching
To find my soul lost with the light

Clouds hovering over my head
Blocking the sun and the stars
I'm confined in endless darkness
All I see around me are the bars

I prefer staying in darkness with your thoughts
Than to return to a world without you
How do I enter the home I dreamed for us?
My dreams waiting at the doorstep to welcome you

How do I explain I failed?
I'll lie
To keep them alive, I promise
I'll exist with hopes
Even if you travel too far

I'm staying focused, strong
Just telling myself "your love is true"
But the sleepless nights continue
Until you show me how do I stop loving you

You're someone's friend
For me you're my best friend
You may become someone's wife
For me you're my world, and my life

You're not a memory
You're part of me, my destiny
Just tell me how to forget you
And say goodbye?
