Lost Roads And Fading Stars Poem by Dorukhan Baris Oguzcan

Lost Roads And Fading Stars

The road was golden once, beneath my feet, A path carved deep in dreams and quiet flames. The echoes whispered names I used to keep, Yet time has scattered them like dying claims. I chase the past, but shadows bend and weave— Memories slip like sand through broken seams.

I keep chasing, but the stars fade away.

The night is heavy with the weight of loss, The winds that speak no longer know my name. A silence lingers, cold and edged in frost, Yet still I walk, though nothing feels the same. Where goes the fire when the embers dim? Where sings the dream when voices turn to dust? The past once swore it never would betray, Yet now it lingers only as a ghost.

I keep chasing, but the stars fade away.

Tomorrow calls, though whispers feel so thin, A breath of dawn that trembles in the haze. Perhaps the road will bend, will start again, Perhaps the stars will burn beyond the maze. Not all is lost—some sparks may yet remain, Not all is lost—perhaps the fire stays.

I keep chasing, but the stars fade away.
