Lost Hope Poem by Martin Greyford

Lost Hope

Does the moon shine anymore?
‎Does it light up the night like before?
‎Or is it just a faded glow
‎A reminder of what's lost forever now?

‎The stars that once danced in its light
‎Now seem distant, cold, and grey
‎The world that once felt full of might
‎Now echoes with an empty sway

‎The shadows on the wall remain
‎Whispers of memories that refuse to fade
‎But like the moon, they're just a stain
‎A bittersweet reminder of what we've made

‎And so I ask, does the moon shine?
‎Or is it just a ghostly sigh
‎A fleeting glimpse of what's divine
‎A melancholy whisper, 'goodbye'
