This poem has a remarkable quality. There is a suggestion that a relationship of a lifetime can slowly fall away from the grasp....like a fistful of sand. The tighter we hold and cling, the more is lost. Simply doing nothing will not prevent the drift, but it can slow it down. In time, all is lost. What remains is the memory....which is so unlike those grains of sand. A remarkable poem, Soul.

Ah forgiveness no easy task I sometimes struggle with the concept especially those who have betrayed but you're right, does no good to hold a grudge it only poisons from within Enjoy your poem as always BB : O)

forgiveness is one of the keys to life it does no good to hold on to grudges. they just make for unhappy people. better to let it go and forget. enjoyed

I enjoy your poet notes as much as the poem, I think. Interesting to see how a mind arrives at that certain point and what then comes from the muse.. :)

A beautiful poem has come out from your 'doodling' of words and thoughts. The theme is nice. The message of unconditional forgiveness is great! Hands that water the plants may not be there, but the plants do gratefully remember the favour. This part touched me. When my wife is away from home, I look at the plants and wonder how much care she took of them to keep them alive! Great to see so many comments here. I applaud each and everyone of them for sharing their nice thoughts.

The imagination is superb. The ice v/s warmth in the life of ice. The feelings are pathetic but the idea is superb. Loved it greatly
