Lost Ears ~ Poem by M. Asim Nehal

Lost Ears ~

Rating: 5.0

We've traded voices for the silent leer,
with fingers dancing on a screen,
no cheer,
uur hearts grow mute;
we've lost the precious ear.

Amidst the buzz of digital veneer,
the human touch has vanished,
I do fear,
gone are the days when words were crystal clear,
replaced by texts that never shed a tear.

Behind the glass we hide,
it does appear,
conversations fade,
to shadows disappear,
a world where listening is far from here,
In echoes past,
our ears were held so dear.

Your voice once was pure and sheer,
let's revive the art of listening sincere,
for in true speech,
connection will revere,
and mend our souls to hear and simply hear.

Modern technology has taken over the old traditional listening art.
