Lost Again Poem by Vincent Feliciano

Lost Again

For years he shed tears over souls lost and so called victories never won in the heart, always asking to go home but never willing to leave his brother...but what he failed to see was that the forgiveness he denied himself was never his to give but rather take...now his brothers watch beside their enemies, with their reward in hand, waiting for him to take the inherited peace his commanders long tried to deny him...his Father watches the heaviness of his heart, turn, slowly from the love he denies, to the love he defies as the hope he was handed he gives back, in exchange for the pain that kept him awake until he cries himself to sleep...
