Lost. Poem by Peter Vealey

Lost.

Rating: 5.0

When every moment
Looks a betrayal of your
Need(s) .
When you shout and
No one is listening,
Only to their hobbies,
Delusions, conversations.
To a no one in particular.
Just not you.
Lost!
When the pain is
Searing, vast, endless
Like at a moment of death.
Not expected.
I didn't want it, foresee it ending
Like that.
What will people think?
Lost!
When every other human just
Seems
Contrived, obsessed
And so ordinarily
Comfortable
In their everyday world
And you
Are just
Teetering on oblivion.
Lost is that place
I wish never to return to.
