Mary, interesting write, ... kind of like saving a drowning victim, if you're not careful, you can drown right along with them. Great poem! Brian

Another wonderful poem from Mary. Long term 12 step people are well aware that people must want change themselves. That's the only requirement for membership in some (all?) 12 step groups. It took me YEARS of denial before I admitted needing help. Wonder how many people viewed me as Mary views her friend. Probably too many. Warm Regards Ray

Don't let her get to you Mary, you're doing really well there, look forward always, and never back. You can't save the world, however much you want to do so. I always enjoy reading your poems, they flow so well and have great meaning. Love Ernestine XXX

This is a powerful piece Mary, both on a technical and personal level. The frustration comes through well but it is the triumph of will that overshadows all. In that it is a deeply humanist piece, pointing out the absurdity of engaging in another's negative behaviour.

This has a chilling feel, which i enjoyed. Some of it made difficult reading, probably a bit too close to home for me. You can only do so much. A genuinely thought provoking read. Thank you for sharing. Kindest Regards Slim. x.
