Lord Teach Me Poem by Susheela Alexiose

Lord Teach Me

Rating: 5.0

The pride of life and lust of eyes
Lord teach me to let it go

The pleasures and joy of the world
Lord teach me to let it go

The craving to love and be loved
Lord teach me to let it go

Till I empty myself and you dwell in
Lord teach me to let it go

1 John 2: 15-17 1John 2: 15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1John 2: 16 For all that is in the world—the of the flesh, the of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. 1John 2: 17 And the world is passing away, and the of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. Deceptions of the Last Hour Thank you for expressing in your poem so well!
