Lord Help Me Learn

Lord help me learn to pray again
Like I prayed before
When I came to know You Lord
How that You were the Door
And when I entered in by faith
And knew You saved my soul
And life became a whole new way
And I submitted to Your control

Prayer became the ingredient
That set me on a course
Kept me in fine fellowship
To own Your worthy cause
And with a passion for lost souls
I sought Your Word to share
And fortified that effort with
A time with You in prayer

There's urgency to start again
The time with You to pray
Lord make it top priority
At the beginning of each day
May my heart be filled with love
Such as You have for me
And press on with relentless fashion
And pray more faithfully

I pray dear Lord magnify
The plight of all men lost
Who have an eternal Hell awaiting
At the rejection of the Cross
And make my prayer a fervent one
To reach some soul today
To tell them of the Hope of all Ages
This dear Lord I pray!
