Looking Up At Mr. Frieze Greene's Window* Poem by james watkin

Looking Up At Mr. Frieze Greene's Window*

Such a curious glow;
Of spirits at play;
Flickering frenetic.
Unproper I say!

Aperture of a scream!
And from out what mind's
Inventive dark corner
Nothing montrous binds!

More of the grotesque night
To unsettle one.
On moon-lensed witchery
Draws too no curtain!
