Looking Inside Poem by Jeri Martindale

Looking Inside

Can I speak with you come closer. I want you to understand I am a sexy woman.

I close my eyes and patiently wait, wanting you to touch me, I begin to shake.

My GOD I remember the way you made me feel; shivers ran down my spine as you held me still.

If I am dreaming, I never want to awake; taking my breath away as you softly caressed my face.

I wish I had gotten the chance to feel more, only it wasn't the right time for our souls to explore.

Perhaps I see the light shining down from above maybe a sign it may be opened once more.

I hope to find myself as I sit and listen for the answers to begin falling down from the sky landing in the palm of my hand.
I realize I have forgotten what was inside my mind.

The time has now come to begin the long walks that I use to take, exploring every emotion that fills my whole body, heart, and soul; to become powerful again, balance with in.

I have already walked so many miles, but as the wind touches my face I just smile. Knowledge I seek is deep inside me, taking my breath away, I fall asleep.
