Longing Of The Human Lot Poem by Varghese J Kuttikat

Longing Of The Human Lot

May my wild imaginings, rosy and resplendent
Lift me up and let me exult, hope-lit
When I awaken the dawn with harp and lyre, love-lit
The entire Universe exults and I revel in the core of being exalted
Voices benign thunder forth: " rejoice and celebrate the light
Subtle whisperings insinuates: " you are a victim of vanity unlimited
You may soon be thrown into bottomless pit, totally unlit "
O Lord omnipotent, banish gloominess altogether and let me exult
Set my heart aright and keep it throbbing in cadences of light
My vanity be blest, it is a power-packed longing of the entire human lot
