My formative years existed with only my mother, so I was raised by a standard of compassion and dignity that would not exists if I had a father. I never came from a broken home, I came with one filled with love. thank you for writing about the Matriarchal side a patriarchal society, we react to feelings we cant control by declaring war, by invading, by conquering. our built in insecurities cause us to take, to violently take, and yet to never be filled. slightly harsh condemnation, but a good critique

Well penned Eric - not just the mother figure, but the eternal feminine - the female part of man's nature has been repressed. You may like to read my poem entitled Anima.
