Longing For More Poem by Etienne Charilaou

Longing For More

Long is the day;
short is the night.
Troubles may affright.
I stay out of sight.

In dreams I may fly
in azure, bonded sky.
Gravity I will defy;
find that which will satisfy.

It's hard to say goodbye
to the only realm I know.
‘Trust not words! ' I cry.
Beyond will I go.
