This lyric touches the mind and the emotions. Asking questions makes it like a dialogue. Love from afar does exist in the electronic age. So positive.

Thank you, Michael. This was actually written about someone I cared for back in 2003, who was in New Mexico, USA! . He passed away in 2011. We e-mailed, IM'd, and spoke long-distance for a couple of years.

Very thought provoking, tinged with a little sadness

Alison, this poem is true, as opposed to being a fictitious one resulting from my fertile imagination. It speaks of faithfulness, even when the miles keep you physically apart, and all you have is the telephone and perhaps SKYPE.

Reminds me of the film 'Sleepless In Seattle.' Love from afar that is! This is a touching poem.

David, I LOVED the film Sleepless in Seattle (no great surprise there, right? ;) Lost count of how many times I've watched it. All of Nora Ephron's Chick Flicks were great. I suppose that for those of us who breathe, eat, and sleep Love, romantic comedies are a staple. I truly appreciate your positive comments! P.S: This poem wasn't inspired by Sleepless, but was actually based on a loved one far away, many years ago...
