Long Awaited Poem by Adam Smitherman

Long Awaited

When we first spoke.
My heart was froze.
You said 'I love you' and it finally awoke.
You risked yourself for me.
Your love I finally see.
A relationship long awaited.
One out of pure imagination.
One that makes me fly.
One that makes me laugh and cry.
I'll give you my heart.
And I'll wait for that moment.
For us to be together.
Forever and ever.
I've lived a life of pain.
One clouded by rain.
You came along and took it all away.
