Long ago, we waved goodbye,
and you dove into the sunrise.
I gave chase, but somewhere between the light and the tide, I lost my way.
Now I drift in waves-I stir, tossed and turned, my head just above the water- wondering for how long.
Someday, I'll wash and flow into depths unexplored, all this pressure I've endured, foolish to think of living as merely staying afloat.
