But the 'heart' of Bri Edwards (me) may be TOO STONY to be turned to soil. Yes, trees can not depend on MY heart for propogation! ;) bri

I like it. I imagine plenty of human hearts (and other body parts) have 'become soil' over Mankind's reign on Earth. : ) bri

I can see a clear picture of surrender to life.

A thought provoking poem. And a solution is alse there in the last lines. Love makes all the matters solved. Optimistic though.

I have come to this poem again for its special attraction. The loneliness of a person or a tree is very painful that has been deeply felt by dear poetess Bharati madam. The inscription made here is so touching and courageous for future establishment. This is really a beautiful poem on nature and tree having a philosophical touch.

Ah, at last a poem of yours that I have not read! ! ! And what a wise poem it is.! I can read it on many levels- which is a hallmark of a Bharati poem. There is a fragile beauty in it- like so many of Bharati's poems. Loving words gently suggesting how to get through to stony hearts... that is the voice of our Bharati speaking all right! 10++++++++++ and onto my fav list

This poem is really thought provoking and sensitive. In the concrete jungle tree is alone and crying much due to loneliness. Poet is telling the tree not to cry. We are now ready to support and plant many trees. That tree will get soon family and friends of new trees. Beautiful message is sent for social awareness. This is an excellent poem...10

the title caught my attention, bharati. my wife and i spent time in a beautiful mountain spot yesterday where a super-volcano left a sixteen-mile caldera eons ago, now filled with grassy meadow and hills and trees. i was fascinated by lone spruce trees that would stand alone on soft hills or stand apart from a bank of trees that seemed to march downhill. lately i'm aware they are alive. i marvel at them. but i haven't talked to them... yet. glen

Thank you for reading and stopping by this lonely tree.No one likes to remain lonely or friendless. Your generous gesture must have been felt by the tree.
