This poem is heartbreakingly beautiful. The imagery of the lonely Moon perfectly captures the emptiness of loss. The way you weave sorrow into each line makes it feel so real, like a quiet ache in the night sky. It truly speaks to the soul—haunting, deep, and unforgettable.

Congratulations, Sandra, on your exquisite poem! Your words beautifully capture the profound depth of emotion that comes with loss and loneliness.
Although it sounds as if you're going through a hard time in life this poem is still very well written! I know what it's like to go to very very hard and dark times in life and struggle very hard to get out of it. So I hope you're doing well, but still very well written home!
The beauty of the poem lies in its density. The poet mourns the absence of their lover whose smile is compared to te shininess of the moon. Thier absence is equal to the absence of the moon to the speaker.
'The Moon will shine, Without your smile, But no longer shall it be, A Moon that shines for me, ...'. This is deep.

Moon is moon, it's sometimes tired of routine but rises again as crescent. Love may be dormant sometimes but it never dies. A nice poem from a very good poetess.
Why do I find myself always coming back to this poem? Because it is one of the best poems ever written
The giant-impact theory is most widely accepted today. This proposes that the Moon formed during a collision between the Earth and another small planet, about the size of the planet Mars. The debris from this impact collected in an orbit around Earth to form the Moon.
I feel this poem a lot! For me probably in different reasoning than for most? But because after my injury it's left me abandoned by all my old friends. And I'm unable to get out and make new friends so it's left me constantly sitting by myself for many many years
